Both of our boys have had bikes for the last year at our new house, and they have enjoyed riding around the driveway pad, but in the last two months, they have really gotten into it. They’ve been out there riding in a circle on their training wheels almost every day.

Saturday, I finally found a second adult bike! So Sunday, we took our bikes (and Goldie) to the local park and rode around town as a family.

(We’ll get better pictures next time.)

I took Archer’s training wheels off for a little while and ran around behind him holding him up to give him a feel for it. He’s not quite ready to try on his own yet.

We’re very proud of Archer for spending a week of full days away from his parents at Scout Camp. And it turns out he’s a natural shot.

Every day he would come home with a another target full of bulls-eyes. (It’s a pretty large target for Tigers, but he’s very excited about being good at it. He got a “shots of distinction” certificate at the end of the week for making 5/5 bulls-eyes.

Here’s some photos of the last day, when us parents were invited for dinner and the campfire.

Some Pictures from the Lego Party in Salem. Everyone had a great time. Even Nana and Ashton 😉

I asked Archer if he wanted me to paint a picture for his birthday. He said he wanted the Millennium Falcon. While I was drawing it, he came up and complimented me on it. I thanked him and said, “But you can’t see this because it’s for your birthday.” He looked away and said he didn’t see it. Ha.

A couple days later he saw it again and said, “I can’t wait to get that for my birthday.”

“Get what?” I asked

“Nothing. I don’t know what I’m getting for my birthday.” Haha

Atley is going to be a storm trooper for Halloween this year, and Archer was going to be Kylo Ren. Anna bought a Darth Vader costume as she couldn’t find Kylo, and asked if that’s okay.

“Yes! I want to be Darth Vader so my brother can work for me!” – Archer.

4 days after we arrived at our new house in Oregon, and Archer was playing in his new Lego room under the stairs. The latch for his room was just a normal deadbolt. Today, the deadbolt failed and got stuck in the locked position, locking Archer under the stairs with his Legos. Anna heard him screaming to get out, but quickly calmed down.

We hadn’t had our Internet connected yet (because CenturyLink is inept), so I had to work in town at the coffee shop. I found a L-shaped screw driver and passed it under the door to Archer, who unscrewed the face of the deadbolt from the inside.

I was very proud of my boy for staying so calm and figuring out how to unscrew the deadbolt.
