Archer’s 1st Birthday

A-Team

Happy Birthday To Archer! He turned one, and his Momma threw him a huge birthday party with birthday cake (by Jami), a smash cake (by Lilly), an Easter Egg Hunt, a piƱata (by Cindy), and lots of toys from friends and family. It’s been a long time since we’ve had so many people over at the house, and we had a great time.

Here’s too many pictures.

Enjoy,
Ashton, Anna and Archer

New Garage (in 3 days)

When Anna and I bought our property 5 years ago, the only problem was an old, falling-apart shed that needed replacing. Replacing it has been on our “To Do” list every summer for 5 summers, and we finally got around to doing it.

I call the shed “old” but it’s actually just not well built: the biggest problem being that the roof is practically flat, so rain water just sat on the roof tiles until it soaked through and destroyed the roof. There were still a few dry patches that were very useful for storage, so we never took it down.

This year, we fixed it! Although not as epic as building it ourselves; this was definitely much faster. The hardest pert was taking it down and preparing the foundation for it.

Ashton Anna Trips & Activities

We Visit England!

Anna and I have finally returned from England! We went with Anna’s mom, Carol, and Ashton’s Grandpa Joe. It was a fantastic trip. We’ll try to recap:

Anna’s entire English family lives in southern England, so we were able to stay with her family while we were there. Ashton hadn’t met any of his new England relatives, and he got to meet almost 20 of them on this trip.

This post is going to be a picture blog with descriptions. Enjoy!

We left America at around 4:00 in the evening, and 10 hours later, we arrived in London at 10:00 am the next day. This was our first glimpse of England. It took a couple days for me to figure out why the landscape definitely looked like England: None of the roads (or tree-lines) go in a straight line for very long… England is devoid of any semblance of straight driving areas.
